Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Open the Aleph app and tap "Get Started." You'll go through a short onboarding to pick your mascot and choose a Torah series. At the end, sign up with Apple or Google to save your progress.

What age is Aleph for?

Aleph is designed for kids learning Torah. Children under 13 should use the app with a parent or guardian's consent and supervision.

Is Aleph free?

Yes! Aleph is free to download and use. You get access to all Torah lessons, daily quests, the mascot customization, and more. Aleph Plus is an optional premium upgrade with extra features.

What does Aleph Plus include?

• Infinite Hearts: Never run out of lives while learning.
• Unlimited Chavruta AI: Chat with Rabbi Robot, your personal Torah study buddy.
• Double Gems: Earn 2x gems every lesson.
• Exclusive Cosmetics: Premium hats, outfits, and accessories for your mascot.

How do I subscribe?

Tap the crown icon or go to Settings > Subscription in the app. Choose a monthly or yearly plan and confirm your purchase through the App Store.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your device Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, find Aleph, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open the paywall screen in the app and tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

Learning & Progress

What are hearts?

Hearts are your lives. You start with 5 hearts. Each wrong answer in a lesson costs one heart. Hearts regenerate over time, or you can refill them with gems. Aleph Plus members get unlimited hearts.

What are gems?

Gems are the in-app currency you earn by completing lessons. Use gems to buy power-ups like heart refills and streak freezes, or to unlock cosmetic items for your mascot.

What are streaks?

Your streak tracks how many consecutive days you've completed at least one lesson. Keep your streak alive by learning every day! If you miss a day, you can use a streak freeze (purchased with gems) to protect it.

Can I change my Torah series?

Yes! Tap the grid icon in the top-left corner of the Learn page to open the series selector and switch to a different Torah series.

Chavruta AI (Rabbi Robot)

What is Chavruta AI?

Chavruta AI is your personal Torah study companion, powered by artificial intelligence. Ask Rabbi Robot anything about the Torah stories you're learning, and get friendly, age-appropriate answers.

Is it accurate?

Rabbi Robot does its best to give accurate, educational answers, but it's an AI, not a real rabbi. For authoritative religious guidance, always consult a qualified Torah teacher or rabbi.

Are there usage limits?

Yes. Aleph Plus members can send up to 100 messages per day and 5 messages per minute.

Account & Privacy

How do I change my display name?

Go to your Profile page by tapping your mascot avatar in the top bar, then edit your name.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm. If you have an active subscription, you'll need to cancel it separately through your device's subscription settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and your data is protected by row-level security so only you can access it. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
